Brian Liszewski

Radiation therapist -  Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s Odette Cancer Centre

Quality Assurance Coordinator

Practice-Based Researcher at the Sunnybrook Research Institute

Research associate for the Canadian Partnership for Quality Radiotherapy (CPQR) in the development of the National System for Incident Learning

Serves on a number of local, provincial, pan-Canadian and international quality and best practice committees and as a champion for person centered care.

Lecturer, co-Chair of the RTi3 Radiation Therapy Conference

Collaborated on a number of textbooks, self-study courses, conferences, editorials, and peer reviewed publications

Advocate of patient safety and person centered care and the development of initiatives to increase the quality of patient care

Patient Experience Award

Stephanie Rutter

Stephanie goes out of her way to make sure that the patient is well taken care of

She is level-headed regardless of how stressful a situation may be. She's adept at deescalating a situation that to others, may be out of control.

Stephanie is the type who would go the distance to find an answer to a problem. She doesn't pass on her problem to others. She's willing to stay longer past her shift or cut her break short

Stephanie enjoys working with the public.  It's more than a job to her - each patient is a unique experience and she learns from each one.

In her spare time, she loves visiting her family, eating and travelling.

Mary F. Cameron Leadership Award

Paula Titaro

Graduate - Mohawk College in 1999.  As a student, she fell in love with the work that was done in CT and started working in CT in 2003. 

Became Team Lead in CT at Grand River Hospital in 2015. 

“I have learned a lot since starting in this role and try my best to practice what I preach and lead by example.”

Outside of work, Paula loves being active, working out, gardening and spending time with her husband, Mike, and their two beautiful children, Olivia and Xavier.

Time from patient arrival to groin puncture was the best in North America in Mock stroke codes

Lindsay Kazarian

Completed CT Certificate, trained to insert PICC lines and working on IR Certificate

Lindsay is a proud aunt who enjoys spending time with family and friends

Diana Lee

Graduate, University of Toronto/the Michener Institute

Radiation Therapist, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre & Teaching Assistant, University of Toronto

Outside of work and volunteering, Diana enjoys reading about true crime, fueling a serious coffee addiction and spending time with family

Student Award

Alessandra Pasqualino

Alessandra is a new graduate from Confederation College

She has recently joined the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center team in the Diagnostic Imaging department to start her career.

This has been a dream of hers since high school and throughout her Bachelors of Science degree from Lakehead University.

Alessandra hopes to use her passion of kindness and compassion to brighten up patients and their family’s experience while taking quality images.

While not working, she likes to enjoy spending time with her family and travelling with her boyfriend to his professional golf tournaments.
