IV Contrast Injection Practical Course

Venous identification and insertion techniques are a vital part of the hands-on portion of the course. Proper aseptic technique and the safe use of sharps are reviewed and practiced throughout. Participants will practice proper insertion of both the venous catheter and the winged infusion set, setting up intravenous solutions, monitoring the administration of IV solutions, and injecting into pre-existing lines. Practice will occur on both simulated and real arms.
PLEASE NOTE: You must have previously completed the didactic (theory) portion of the course before you can complete the practical portion.
There will be a morning session that will begin at 9 AM and an afternoon session that will begin at 1 PM. There are only 10 seats per session.
