The October 2018 legalization of recreational cannabis presents new challenges and concerns for workplaces across Canada. This seminar will outline the legislative changes related to recreational use, providing employers with the up-to-date knowledge they need to ensure they comply with the new regime. Participants will learn about:employers' and employees' rights, duties and obligations relating to recreational cannabis use; workplace drug testing; and best practices
for addressing possible workplace impairment.
Cassandra Ma is an associate lawyer in Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP’s Toronto office.
