Webinar Wednesday: Ultrasound Evaluation of the Distal Biceps Tendon
Sep 16, 2020 12:00PM to Sep 16, 2020 01:00PM
Ultrasound Evaluation of the Distal Biceps Tendon
The distal biceps tendon is commonly affected by tendinosis, tears, or associated bursitis. It is imperative to differentiate between partial and full-thickness tears for proper patient management. With knowledge of the distal biceps anatomy, proper imaging techniques, and awareness of potential pitfalls, ultrasound is becoming the modality of choice for an accurate diagnosis.
This webinar will illustrate the anatomy of the distal biceps tendon and show sonographers how to acquire optimal images and perform proper dynamic assessments. Pathological conditions and potential imaging pitfalls will be discussed. Pathologies will be presented in a case study format.
