This presentation is directed at all healthcare modalities not just Diagnostic Imaging, and to students of these modalities. It serves as a teaching tool, a refresher and a reminder for those working in healthcare just what compassion is and what it does and doesn’t look like.

A graduate with Dean’s Honours in 3 healthcare modalities John had worked tirelessly when in late 1995 The Sioux Lookout Zone Hospital, University of Toronto and Health Canada (FNIB) recruited him to set up a pilot program to last 3 months to bring ultrasound to the remote First Nations Communities of Northwestern Ontario. John stayed for over 21 years bringing Prenatal and maternal mortality rates in line with the Canadian general population from those of third world countries. He now speaks on his experiences and the peoples he served, Early Childhood Traumas and how it affects the trajectory of one’s life as well as this presentation on Compassion.
